Large tables like this were called Monk's tables, because each monk had a drawer for his pewter plate and spoon. Very ruggedly built of solid oak about 1900, this wonderful table has a medium brown finish that is in excellent condition.
There are four drawers on each side plus one at the end, and the rebuilt top is a full inch thick. There are some old shrinkage separations in the legs, but they are all sturdy and ready for another hundred years. Measurements are 8'8" long, 4' across, and 30" tall with 24" of legroom.
