This early 1900's oak pier or hall mirror has design elements from both the Arts and Crafts Period and Late Victorian.
The original beveled mirror is surrounded by original wavy glass panes, hand painted on the reverse side in colors of the period. Fluted columns have Ionic capitals, and there is a lower shelf. The rich brown finish is excellent on fine-grained solid oak. The beveled plate glass mirror has just enough golden "smoke" to show its age.
We have never seen work like this, with such a compatible combination of two design periods. Dimensions are 5'1" wide, 7'8" tall, and 10" deep.
