Chinese Country Carved Server or Island Counter

This magnificent hand carved Chinese country server would also work well as a kitchen island counter. Solid elm hardwood was artistically carved with traditional motifs, the original hand painting from the 1880's is beautifully faded and worn. A pair of hand dovetailed drawers can be removed to access the "secret" compartment below.

The exposed tenon joints are as solid as when this antique was made, and stains, burns and lots of wear give this rugged heirloom "character." Exceptional rural artistry and charm distinguish this amazing furniture, size is 44" wide, 30" deep and 34" tall.
