An extraordinary Victorian polished cast iron cookstove has handpainted ceramic tiles. Created in France in the 1890's, this stove was fired with charcoal, and has 3 "burners" on top with concentric rings to fit different sizes of cooking pots.
This antique stove was polished and lacquered, and was re-assembled with wooden interior components, so it would need expert evaluation to return to actual use. This picturesque stove disassembles into manageable pieces for moving. There is damage to some of the the tiles on this marvelous artifact from a bygone age. Size is 42" wide, 42" tall, 32" deep, and the cooking top is 31" above the floor. W-S1613 |
