This writing desk or library table rests on four of the finest carved lions that we have seen. The satiny walnut finish is excellent, and there is masterful hand carved detailing on the seated lions and paw feet. Deep moldings add distinction to this antique dating from about 1895.
Solid and substantial, this is wonderful furniture for a grand library, study or for a foyer. There are minor repairs to the base, measurements are 6' long, 40" wide, 31 1/2" tall with 26" of legroom.
