Simple elegance defines this Victorian secretary desk with a bookcase top. Hand made of glowing honey toned solid walnut about 1875, the finish is silken and in superb condition. There are hand-carved pulls on the slide-out writing surface, which has brass latches to drop open. Inside is a leather writing surface and tiny drawers.
The removable upper bookcase has arched original wavy glass in the doors, and shelves are adjustable on wooden supports. This nostalgic and functional antique desk measures 44" wide, 19" deep, 7'2" tall, the writing area is 29" above the floor.
