Fabled Steinway and Sons built this Model M or 5'6" grand piano with an ebony case in 1922, the golden age of American pianos.
The action is solid, the tone shimmers with the rich spectrum of beautiful resonant sound expected from the world's finest piano maker. The piano has been restrung and the iron frame refinished at some point, but the action is original.
In wonderful playing condition, the soundboard is intact. Included is a later ebonized bench with hand-made needlepoint upholstery. The hand-rubbed satin ebony finish is superb, with only minor mars at the edges. This piano was well cared for. Measurements are 57" wide, 5'6" long and 39" tall with the wing closed.
