This brilliant desk has diagonally matched mahogany with inlaid marquetry and a marble top. Front and sides are gracefully curved, and gold-plated bronze mounts are original.

The interior has a gold-tooled leather surface with tiny drawers and compartments above.

Superior workmanship shows everywhere on this sophisticated vintage furniture from about 1940, and the marble and polished finish are excellent.

Measurements are 38" wide, 19" deep, 4'8" tall, and the writing surface is 29" above the floor.
