Hand-carved about 1890, this diminutive pewter cupboard or Welsh dresser was probably made as child's size play furniture, which was popular during the Victorian period.
Richly detailed in oak and other hardwoods, the original deep brown finish is in very fine condition.
Every panel is carved in high relief, and there are shrinkage separations. The wrought iron hardware and handles are original on this charming antique, and measurements are 29" wide, 14" deep and 5' 10 1/2" tall.
