A naturalistic sculpture of a sailor shows wonderful tension and movement.
It was executed in cast pewter toned metal, sometimes called "spelter." The dark silvery patina is beautiful, and we see no damage to this vigorous antique from about 1900.
The tip of the rifle unscrews for shipping, and the young sailor is stepping over a broken cannon. Height of this authentic work of art is 13."
