An American traditional "grandfather" or tall case clock has a stunning case in solid mahogany with brass mounts, a hand painted dial and Westminster chimes on the quarter and hour.
The nicely proportioned case is all original. There is a brass plaque inside stating that this is an authorized Henry Ford Dearborn Museum replica of an 18th Century original, made by Colonial Clocks of Michigan in the 1920's.
The warm deep reddish finish is excellent, with inlaid banding in the door.
The brass 8 day movement is later, with resonant chimes playing the familiar Westminster melody.
Professionally cleaned and oiled, this clock is in fine running order, weights and pendulum are also brass. Dimensions are 20" wide, 11" deep and 7'9" tall.
