An outstanding antique roll top desk is signed "Michigan Desk," and has raised panels on all sides. The "S" curve top slides smoothly, inside are tiny cubicles and drawers with original pulls and label holders, plus a tiny pencil drawer.
The rich reddish brown finish is excellent on solid birch hardwood, there are minor mars and some unevenness on top for a little character.
This is very rugged furniture, there is a file drawer and 2 pull out shelves for extra work space. Deep drawers have dovetailed joints.
Dimensions of this classic American desk are 5 1/2' long, 34" deep, 44" tall and the writing surface is 29 1/2" above the floor. Kneehole size is 33" wide and 25" high. G-D1790 |
