   An outstanding Victorian mantel clock is signed by historic maker, "Ansonia," and has a porcelain dial with an open escapement. Note chip, see photo. There are gold plated figural mounts with some wear, see photo, and beveled glass bezel. The lacquered iron case on brass feet is original with only tiny chips. Professionally cleaned and oiled, this antique clock is a good runner, the 8 day signed movement strikes the hour and half and was patented in 1882. Size is 17" long, 6 1/2" deep and 9 1/2" tall.
