A marvelous Victorian to Eastlake antique from the 1870's, this marble top chest or commode is solid walnut with burl, and would be a beautifu vanity for a vessel sink.
The marble is excellent with a shaped edge, notice plugged perimeter holes. Glowing patina is wonderful with golden color and a very fine finish.
Drawers have hand-cut dovetails and carved pulls, there are incised details. Size of this jewel of American furniture is 34" wide, 21" deep and 29" tall. J-D1849 |
