An early 1900's authentic watchmaker's work bench has 9 drawers. This antique is from a time when watches and clocks were all meant to be repaired.
A removable caddy includes 2 drawers, one fitted with a tin "parts catcher," to collect tiny screws and springs that might fall out of a movement. To the left is a bank of 7 dovetailed drawers - brass and cut glass knobs appear original.
The lustrous finish is excellent, the backside is nicely paneled and could also be finished if desired. Inside the kneehole of this simple antique furniture are mars where the watchmaker's stool rubbed against the sides.
Measurements are 43 1/2" long, 14" deep and 38" tall.
