Asian Chinese Lacquer Breakfront Cabinet Bookcase

A breakfront china cabinet or bookcase in black lacquer is exquisitely hand-painted in Chinese or Asian motifs. There is a pull-out desk, and the delicate painting is raised. The upper section has convex glass doors and adjustable shelves with plate display grooves.
There is a gold-tooled leather writing surface on the desk. Drawers have dovetailed solid oak sides. The original finish is very fine, with minor touch-ups. Brasses are original on this vintage furniture from about 1950. Size is 5' wide, 16" deep and 6'8" tall.
