This Georgian or Chippendale design bookcase was hand-carved of mahogany about 1870, and has traditional claw and ball feet.
Classic grillwork surrounds original wavy glass individual panes in the doors. Shelves are adjusted by sliding into grooves cut into the sides.
There is wonderful warm patina to the original finish, with a few shrinkage cracks and mars for character.
The base of this antique furniture is a separate piece, and dimensions are 53" wide, 15" deep and 69" tall.
