An elegant Victorian folio cover is papier mache, hand painted and inlaid with mother of pearl. Perhaps it was made for loveletters, sonnets, baby pictures or drawings.
This is an original antique from about 1860. The leather hinge has been replaced. There are small chips at the corners and slight wear to the lacquer finish. Size of this sweet parlor accessory is 9" wide and 12" high.
