A pair of large and comfortable armchairs are in the Biedermeier or Empire style, and also show Art Nouveau influence. Hand-carved of solid mahogany in the early 1900's, the frames are strong and solid.
The original finish appears to have been revarnished, there are only minor mars at the edges of this remarkable furniture. The fabric is not new, but not worn - there are a few spots, see photos.
Seats are very deep and springy. Size of these dramatic antique chairs is 33" wide, 33" deep, 37" tall and seats are 18" high. Matching sofa is priced separately.
