Brilliantly polished intricate marquetry distinguishes this elegant cylinder roll secretary desk. Truly dazzling workmanship is evident everywhere on this vintage desk from about 1950.
On the exterior and inside of the cylinder roll there are vivid floral designs and scroll work of inlaid satinwood, tulipwood and other exotic species against a background of glowing rosewood and diagonally matched mahogany.
The interior is beautiful with tiny drawers and compartments. There are only minor mars at the edges of this virtuoso furniture.
Dimensions are 3' wide, 20" deep, 38 1/2" tall and the pull out writing surface is 28 1/2" high.
