A pair of sculptures entitled "Les Fiances" depict a handsome young man offering flowers and a ring to a young woman with a parasol.
Signed by French sculptor "Mouflier," this naturalistic couple is barefoot, she has shyly downcast eyes but attentive posture. This artwork dates from about 1900 in bronze-finished spelter metal, similar to pewter. Bases are polished ebonized wood.
There is a little wear and a few small mars to the finish on these romantic statues. Both of these antique works of art are in very good condition, he has a repair to the neck - see photos. Size is 18" tall.
