A lovely statue of a beautiful young woman dates from the Art Nouveau period in the 1890's. Signed "P. Rigual," the glowing chocolate patina has slight wear.
Pablo Rigual was born in Portugal and adopted France as his home, he created sculpture in bronze, marble and ivory. This elegant bust is cast spelter, a metal alloy similar to pewter.
