This silver chest or collector's cabinet is beautfiul Victorian era furniture from about 1875. It is made of walnut with matched "oyster" burl and ebony inlaid banding.
The finished interior, hand-cut dovetails and exacting joints show exceptional European quality and workmanship.
The gleaming finish is excellent with glowing antique patina on this historic cabinet from Austria, there are only minor mars at the edges - see photos. Inside is a spoon rack. Drawers have oak interiors, locks are operational.
Three separate stacking sections make for easy handling, the backside is hand-planed and chamfered panels. Dimensions are 30" wide, 20" deep and 64" tall.
