Signed "Amberg," a countertop bookcase and file cabinet from about 1900 is beautiful quarter sawn oak. The gleaming finish is excellent with warm antique patina.
File drawers have original bronze pulls and label holders. The glass bookcase section door lifts and slides in. Stacking sections like a lawyer's bookcase are paneled on the sides.
Amberg made office furnishings for lawyers and courthouses, based in Chicago. Measurements are 33 1/2" wide, 18" deep and 22 1/2" tall.
