Carved of solid oak about 1930 in Denmark, this secretary desk has a Renaissance design influence.
The original finish is in very fine condition, the top and writing area are re-varnished for durability. There are small mars and some shrinkage separations from age, see photos.
Shaped drawer fronts have hand cut dovetail joints and heavy weight embossed brass pulls. The paneled drop front rests on pull out supports, the lock does not latch, the key is a handle only. Inside are tiered tiny drawers and cubicles for papers, plus a few old ink stains.
Antique Nordic provincial furniture, measurements are 42" wide, 21" deep, 40" tall and the writing surface is 29 1/2" tall.
