Hand made in New England about 1840, a sweet country pine corner cupboard has a beautiful finish with warm antique patina. There are mars and shrinkage separations from age for character.
The drawer has hand cut dovetails, square nailheads are visible. Panels are chamfered and hand planing marks are on every surface of this charming rustic furniture. Doors have been repegged years ago, brass and porcelain hardware is over 100 years old but not original. The painted interior has shelves with grooves to display plates, the backside is rough sawn on this American made cabinet.
Clean Yankee lines are beautiful. Dimensions are 42" wide tip to tip at the crown, 77" tall and each side is 29" deep overall.
