Flamboyant "Eastlake" or late Victorian carving is outstanding on this chest or dresser, crafted of solid butternut and walnut with burl panels.
Incised "spoon" or chip carving is characteristic of the period. The radiant finish is in excellent condition, there are just enough mars and stains for antique character.
Large drawers have round "pin and cove" dovetails and original hardware, small "handkerchief" drawers have keys as handles only, the locks do not work.
American made furniture with a beautiful gallery, size is 40" wide, 21" deep and 5' 2" tall.
