Hand crafted of solid cherry about 1825 during the late Sheraton period, this tall chest of drawers from the New England area has old Sandwich glass pulls.
Drawers have inlaid bone escutcheons, tiny hand cut dovetails and chamfered bottoms. The old finish is in very fine condition, with just enough mars and stains for antique character. Waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster.
American made with carved wooden pegs at the joints and square nails, there is a loss on the right rear foot.
Size of this clean lined furniture is 43" wide, 21" deep and 52 1/2" tall.
