Well worn, a book shaped pine box for jewelry or mementos was hand made about 1890. The old finish is well preserved, waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its warm patina.

There are dings and mars for character, see photos. Hand crafted in England, there are square nails visible on this picturesque box.

Measurements of this sweet little antique are 13" wide, 9" deep and 5" tall.
