Called a cylinder or "barrel" roll top desk, this charming antique was crafted of solid walnut with burl panels about 1890 during the late Victorian or Eastlake period.
The matched burl top rolls smoothly, inside are small cubicles and a drawer for papers. Inlaid with saddle leather, the writing surface pulls out. Lower drawers have original hardware and round or "pin and cove" dovetail joints of the period.
The gleaming finish is in excellent condition with small mars at the edges, see photos.
Measurements of this sweet little American made desk are 32" wide, 20" deep, the work surface is 31 1/2" tall and the total height for the desk is 41 1/2" high.
