An elegant "Vitrine" or curved glass curio display cabinet from France dates from the 1930's. Entirely original, the finish on fruitwood is very well preserved with minor mars at the edges.
The lower door panel has a traditional courting scene hand painted on a "Vernis Martin" or frosty bronze toned background. Gilt bronze mounts are intact, including the upper gallery and Fleur de Lis studs. Lock and key still work, there is a plate glass shelf with polished edges. In the back is a mirror, interior velvet is worn but original on this sophisticated European furniture.
Size is 34" wide, 14" deep and 65" tall.
