A spectacular 1915 era queen size bed has built in marble top nightstands, bronze "Putti," angels or cherubs, and lights.
Carved of mahogany, the satiny finish is in excellent condition, enhancing the delicate inlaid marquetry. Cast bronze mounts and pulls have great original patina. Switched lights have original opalescent globes and have been rewired for standard American 110 volt electricity and sockets. For the convenience of whoever changes the linens, both nightstands swing out. Famous "Nero Porturo" black Italian marble tops have been polished and sealed to resist stains.
This palatial antique furniture was expertly hand crafted in Turin in northern Italy for a palazzo.
