This lovely solid mahogany dropleaf table from about 1870 has many uses - dining, breakfast, serving or sofa table. Strong gate legs swing out on carved wooden hinges to support either leaf when raised.
The top has been re-varnished for durability, each section is a single wide plank with gorgeous figured grain and a glowing antique patina. Drop leaves are slightly warped, see photos.
Delicately turned legs have their original well preserved finish which has been waxed and buffed.
Brass ferrules and wheels are original on this historic furniture from England, which measures 16" wide, 47 1/2" long and 28" tall when closed, with both leaves raised, the top is 47 1/2" x 61."
