An authentic Country French pewter cupboard was hand carved of solid fruitwood in the early 1800's.
Galleries displayed pewter or pottery on this charming antique, which was probably part of a bride's dowry. Finely detailed hand carving is truly artistic on this traditional rustic furniture from the south of France.
The old finish is very well preserved with warm patina, waxed and buffed, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain its luster.
The crown is rebuilt and there are losses at the bottom, see photos. Hand made nails are visible, and measurements are 6' 2" wide, 7'4" tall and 15" deep.
