A set of six mahogany dining chairs in the the English Regency manner from the early 1900's are signed "GEE, Made in England." Remarkably well preserved and in strong and usable condition, one chair has a restoration to the original brass inlay.
The original finish has warm antique patina with some wear as shown on this graceful historic furniture. Waxed and polished, only an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth is needed to maintain their luster. There are repairs of various ages on strong and tight frames with classic saber legs. Two seats are newly caned, there are a few broken strands on the others, but all are flexible and comfortable to use.
Five side chairs of this aristocratic set measure 18" wide, 22" deep, 33" tall and seats are 17" high, the arm chair is 21" wide.
