From the late Victorian or Eastlake period about 1885, a solid walnut linen chest or dresser has a marble top and could be repurposed as a vessel sink vanity.
Incised "spoon" or chip carving and round pin and cove dovetail joints on the drawers are characteristic of the period. The finish is in very fine condition.
"Tennessee Red" marble top has been polished and sealed to resist stains, there are tiny flakes at the edges, see photos.
Brasses are original on this American made antique furniture which measures 40 1/2" wide, 18" deep and 32 1/2" tall.
