Hand crafted of solid cherry about 1840, this straightforward corner cabinet is said to have come from Pennsylvania.
The finish is in very fine condition with just enough dings, mars and restorations for antique character. Original square nailheads are visible on the rough sawn back. A later lock and key secure the upper door, the lower door has a carved turnbuckle. Joints are secured by carved wooden pegs. There is a warp to the right lower door, see photos.
Measurements of this one piece country furniture are 50" across the crown tip to tip, 91" tall and the side or radius is 33" from the back corner to the front tip of the crown.
