Hand crafted of solid cherry about 1860 in America by Scandinavian immigrants with traditional scalloped folk motifs, this country corner cabinet is truly a charmer. An antique collector paid $11,000 for this exquisite cabinet in the 1970's.
The finish is in very fine condition on richly figured cherry wood with just enough dings, mars and restorations for antique character. Original square nailheads are visible on the back. Keys are handles only, the locks do not work. The hand crafted center drawer was rebuilt at some point and there is a warp to the right lower door, see photos.
Measurements of this charming two piece furniture are 58" across the crown tip to tip, 84 1/2" tall and the side or radius is 37" from the back corner to the front tip of the crown.
