Carved of solid ash and oak about 1890, an armoire or wardrobe dates from the late Victorian or Eastlake period.
The deep brown finish is in excellent condition. Fluted paneling and moldings and incised "spoon" or chip carving are charming. Drawers have original hardware and round pin and cove dovetail joints of the era.
This American made antique furniture can be disassembled for moving. The interior is 15 1/2" deep and is empty, it could be fitted with a closet pole or shelves if desired. A lock and key in the door still works.
Measurements are 51 1/2" wide, 18" deep and 83" tall.
