Said to from Ohio, this picturesque hand crafted jelly cupboard dates from the 1860's. Solid walnut, the satiny finish is in excellent condition. There is a stain from a long gone latch on the right door.
The top is cut from a single wide plank, drawers have expertly hand cut dovetail joints and chamfered bottoms.
Naturally, the doors lock with a key to keep hungry children out of the jelly and jam stash. Rugged shelves held a full years supply, home made from the fall fruit harvest. There is a gallery around the top.
Dimensions are 43" wide, 17" deep and 51" tall.
