This late 1880's Victorian or Eastlake solid cherry "pier," hall or foyer mirror has a marble top base and oak turned columns.
The finish is excellent, enhancing incised "spoon" carving, spool turned galleries and carved detailing. Three sections of marble have been polished and sealed to resist stains.
Four small mirrors on the upper crown plus the main mirror are original, with a little "antique" smoke to show their age. This wonderful American made furniture had beveled mirrors to reflect and magnify gaslights in an opulent front parlor.
Overall dimensions are 30" wide, 12" deep and 8' tall.
