A pair of shield back dining or occasional armchairs were wonderfully carved of solid mahogany in the Hepplewhite manner about 1925. Said to be hand crafted by "Charak of Boston," the signature labels were lost when reupholstered.
The original finish has wear and mars for character, and has been protected with a later clear varnishing. Large frames are tight and strong on this comfortable furniture.
Seats are newly upholstered, and size is 23" wide, 24" deep, 38" tall and seats are 19" high.
The matching pair of chairs in photos is priced and sold separately, call or email for availability.
