A fabulously hand carved 1880's dressing table or dresser from England would be a fascinating hall piece or vessel sink vanity. Dragons, birds, fruit and an eagle are lavishly sculpted in high relief on this solid fine grained oak antique furniture.
The original finish is very well preserved with minor mars on the bottom, the top working surfaces have been revarnished for durability. Burnished brass hardware is original, drawers have solid oak hand cut dovetail joints. The beveled mirror has lots of "smoke" for character, if this is not charming, it could be resilvered or replaced.
This palatial piece disassembles for easier delivery. The lift lid compartment behind could be fitted for many things, jewelry - or something to be hidden away during the daytime.
Measurements are 62" wide, 30" deep and 98" tall, the drop center area is 31" high.
