This lovely marble top chest or dresser with mirror and candle stands dates from about 1870 during the Victorian or Eastlake period.
Solid walnut with burl panels and columns, the finish is in excellent condition with warm antique patina and minor mars at the edges. The marble has a repair and has been polished and sealed to resist stains. Drawers have hand cut dovetail joints and original nickel over brass ring pulls. There is a "secret" drawer in the base of this boldly scaled American made furniture.
Measurements are 44" wide, 20" deep, almost 8' tall and the marble top is 29" high.
