A classic Victorian period secretary desk with bookcase top was crafted of solid walnut and burl panels around 1880.
The original finish is very well preserved with warm patina and lots of antique character - mars, wear and ink stains as shown. The locking drop front opens to cubicles and drawers, the writing surface has a leather insert.
Locking bookcase doors have old wavy glass, shelves adjust on wooden supports. Lower drawers have round pin and cove dovetail joints characteristic of the era.
American made, three separate sections stack for easier moving. Size is 38" wide, 22" deep, 81" tall and the desktop is 29" high.
