A genuine roll top railroad ticket cabinet from about 1890 is inscribed on the back, "St. Paul," Minnesota.
Solid oak and ash, the original finish has been revarnished and has lots of antique character. A lock secures the roll top, which glides up smoothly. There is damage near the bottom where it appears the door was once forced by some criminal. Inside are wood bars to hold folding train tickets. The lower compartment key is a handle only, the lock does not work.
American made, size is 28 1/2" wide, 16" deep and 61" tall.
