This magnificent dining set in the Renaissance manner from the 1920's includes a table with four leaves and six large chairs.
Richly carved of walnut with inlaid rosewood and marquetry banding, the finish is in excellent condition on this American made antique set. Two 12" wide leaves have aprons or skirts, two more do not, all are original.
Size is 46" wide, 30" tall, 25" legroom and 79" long when closed - with all four leaves in place, length is 10' 7" overall.
Six wide chairs have palatial upholstery in very fine condition with nailhead trim and soft springs. Frames are strong and tight, there are minor mars for character. Dimensions are 23" wide, 24" deep, 41" tall and seats are 19" high.
This palatial furniture was made for a mansion in Chicago's Hyde Park neighborhood, near the home of President Obama.
