Signed "Gunn of Grand Rapids," Michigan, this top of the line roll top desk dates from about 1900.
Solid oak with lots of quarter sawn grain, the lustrous deep finish is excellent. The roll glides smoothly on this American made library or office furniture. Inside are mail slots, letter holders, 16 drawers of various configurations including tiny pen drawers. There are pull out shelves for extra workspace but no key. Lower deep drawers are dovetailed, there is a file drawer.
Deeply sculpted panels have beautiful grain. This antique separates for easy delivery. Size is 50" wide, 32" deep, 49" tall, the desktop is 30" high and the kneehole is 19" wide and 26" high.
