Made for a medical or dental office in the 1930's, this walnut cabinet has matched burl panels and inlaid banding. Fine furniture was used when many doctors practiced from their homes. It is signed by the maker "Hamilton".
The old finish is very well preserved, and has been waxed and buffed, so all that is needed to maintain its warm patina is an occasional wipe with a soft dry cloth. Drawers are enameled steel, the upper section has adjustable shelves and is lighted. A black glass shelf protects from medicine bottles and drips.
American made, this professional furniture measures 30" wide, 17" deep, and 57" tall.
