Dating from the late Victorian or Eastlake period about 1880, this solid cherry bookcase has original wavy glass doors. The original worn finish has warm antique patina and has been preserved with another coat of clear varnish.
Fine geometric detailing and original gilt bronze hardware are authentic on this American made furniture. Drawers have round "pin and cove" dovetail joints of the era. The door lock and key still work, shelves adjust on wooden supports.
Dimensions are 44" wide, 19" deep and 63" tall, and 12" inside.
